I encourage all of you to take careful note of the rules and specifications for entry in all shows and competitions you may enter. Following the rules to the letter is very important in applying and is often the difference betwen being accepted or not. Do not expect the rules to apply only to a few - they are there to make things easier for the busy people trying to put together a good looking show, or a gallery of excellent work. Remember, also, that your reputation depends upon the ethical way in which you conduct yourself - an artist's reputation follows him or her wherever they may later apply. The art world isn't that large anymore since the ways and means of communication have expanded globally.
Word gets around.
