Born
in the state of Minnesota, I moved from the rich farming country, along the great
Mississippi River, west to Butte, Montana, in 1968. Since then many changes have
taken place in my life. Not only have I grown as a person, but entire new avenues
have opened for me as an artist, and I am eager to expand on my ability, imagination,
and creativity.
My passion is pastel
and my favorite subjects are wildlife, family pets, landscapes and florals. I
hope to convey the beauty around us and to ,add joy to someone's life through
my paintings. Painting is a way for me to preserve nature and its wildlife for
the pleasure of others today and in the future.
I
have taken classes at every opportunity and from various artists including Robert
Bateman, Terry Isaac, and Jessica Zemsky. I also teach art classes in pastel.
I have won many awards for my artwork and have been recognized in American Artist
magazine for a pastel painting titled "Floating Candle" in its National
Floral Competition. I also have won awards in Montana, Arkansas, and Ohio art
shows and competitions.
Having artworks
in galleries, art shows, museums, and Montana Institute of the Arts displays,
I feel like Geezer.com is an interesting new place to display some of my artwork.
I hope people enjoy looking at my works.
