I am a Montana-born artist, writing to acquaint you with my work. Producing art requires a balance of solitude and sharing. Presenting you with my portfolio is a very special way I hope to share what is so precious to me. In essence, sharing is also behind why I paint. Over the span of 25 years, I have been driven to offer others scenes from this glorious place, the precious gifts of the forests and mountain ranges that are so near to me. These expressions, in oil and pastel, have been seen in multiple exhibitions throughout Montana, Wyoming and Maine.

Artist Statement
'In Her Eyes"

"She looks out beyond and takes a soul soothing breath. The peaks are alive with color and character. The trees dance and sing in the wind as she walks, the water draws her closer and closer. She stops and catches the sweet smell of nature's fragrance. She finds her way to the rapids and eases down on a rock caressed by the sun. She closes her eyes as the water becomes her haven, slapping her feet, gentle mist falling upon her face and hair. At that very moment she is complete.

As she walks she canvases the landscape in hopes of a glimpse of nature's creatures. In the clearing, a green meadow warmed by the days of summer, she sees them. She stops, takes a soft breath and falls silent to the world around her. In her mind she reaches out to touch them and capture all of their beauty. Their eyes meet for one precious moment and the world stands still. They turn to leave, heading up into their kingdom only to turn once more to honor her with their grace. She wishes just once she could experience their world.

She takes her treasures home. Someday they will become more than just a memory. When she hears the call, her vision will return, and in an instant they will dance on canvas for the world to share.

Oh, what it must be like to see through her eyes."
